RIP Doug Daily
He's my brother. Advanced dementia, in hospice, but not for long.
My sil is a saint, cared for him the last 5 years or so, catheters, agitation, just hard.
Talked to them over the phone while in hospice, and during the 45 minutes or so after, we had 2 doves sit on our neighbors' roof. They flew away when he passed.
That was cool.

I'm so sorry, MsKing. Losing a brother would be one of the saddest things in my life.

Oh, you'll like this. He was one of few people I had spirited political discussions with. We totally disagreed but there was no acrimony. Awesome

SSS, I hesitated to post this. But, you are far away from this, tho understand the hard stuff, agitation, etc. Hope this didn't upset you unduly.

I'm sorry for your loss.

No, I don't want anyone to censor themselves because of my situation. I see my wife almost every day, so I get first hand reminders of her situation all the time. It's hell to see a bright, lively person like my wife and I'm sure your brother was reduced to a shell of themselves. It's just something you have to live with.
My sympathy and condolences to you and all your family.
