The Motion Picture Academy will present honorary Oscars to Angela Bassett, Mel Brooks, and film editor Carol Littleton (whose most notable achievement was ET). Also, the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award will go to Michelle Satter, senior director of the Sundance Institute's Artists Program.
And if anyone missed the announcement last week, the Kennedy Center Awards this year will go to Billy Crystal, opera singer Renee Fleming, Barry Gibb, Queen Latifah, and Dionne Warwick.
