One of the best starting pitchers in the history of baseball has died on Sunday morning.
Vida Blue, a legendary left-handed starting pitcher, best known for his time with the Oakland A's, has died. He was 73 years old.
"Vida Blue rest in peace, my mentor, hero, and friend. I remember watching a 19 year old phenom dominate baseball, and at the same time alter my life. There are no words for what you have meant to me and so many others. My heart goes out to the Blue family," Dave Stewart announced.
I remember so clearly when he burst onto the MLB scene. No cause of death yet, very sorry to learn about this.
