Awkward courtroom moment of the week

Witness is called forward to testify.
Judge: Please raise your right hand and be sworn.
Witness: <stares at me>
Me: <stares at witness>
Witness <stares>
Me: <stares>
Witness: <grins>
Me: <slight smile>
Witness: (who has no right arm below the elbow) raises left hand high
Me: <issues oath>
