The Mets’ victory today, combined with the Braves losing, elevates the Mets to undisputed possession of first place in the National League Eastern Division. May that still (or again) be true at the end of the season. —Bob

Well, that didn't last long. The Mets have fallen (out of first place). Can they get up? Time will tell. --Bob

The New York Mets are not.

I hadn't wanted to dig back in the archive to resurrect this thread, but now that Vandal has, let's just say that Bob's post hasn't aged well.
