This is concerning. I looked up Slamboree in my Alienese to English dictionary. There was no direct reference but it roughly translates to "buffet", with "slam" translating to "morsal" and "boree" translating to "limitless".

I love this promo because it was posted by The Creature.
I'm reading a book called Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus with a number of unusual characters, including a super-smart dog by the name of Six-Thirty. The book shows Six-Thirty becoming aware of an unborn child he calls the creature. He continues to call her the creature even after she's born. So The Creature reminded me pleasantly of Lessons in Chemistry, even though there are many part of the book that are not pleasant. Other parts of it are laugh out loud funny, so I guess you can say that so far, it balances.
Spencer Quinn wrote a series of mystery novels told from the point of view of Chet, another super-smart dog. I love them! I rarely buy a book these days, preferring instead to share with other library customers. But I think I'll buy these so I can re-read one whenever I need some cheering up.
