Yes, but you just asked the question (which now has been answered). You didn't state that the failure to do so was evidence that President Biden was a foreign agent. --Bob

Well, it is just Montanans, after all. We knew what it was as soon as we saw the "Hunter for Prez" bumper sticker.
Besides, they can get what they need from Hunter and Swalwell, they don't need a balloon.

There was plenty of opportunity to shoot it down when it was already in US airspace but not over populated areas. And what if it were a spy plane instead of a balloon? Just let it fly over since if they could see anything the plane is the least of our worries? Really?

Oh, and those military "leaders"? The ones allowing the open borders (not their job I know but they aren't complaining)?

Is this one of those balloons where you light a candle underneath it and watch it rise into the sky?

If so, that must have been one heck of a candle they lit.

Shit. Now I've pointed out twice that I DIDN'T CLAIM YOU SAID THAT but you seem unable to track simple English -- in particular, the meaning of the word "weren't." I thought you were just being ornery. Now I realize you're senile, so I guess I should just feel sorry for you.

Or reproduce the exact words that I used where you think I did claim you said that. Let me know if you need help figuring out how to cut and paste. --Bob

Because you can't just "blow it away." It's big and it's got a lot of metal that will pack quite a wallop when it hits the ground from 70,000 feet or so. And of course if it did hit something, Republicans would take about two seconds before blaming Biden.

Sorry, saucy, but I won't abide being called a liar, especially when it's demonstrably false, it's happened before, and I have yet to receive an apology, or even an acknowledgement of error. This was the mildest response I was able to craft. --Bob

Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.
