WPE

#1 Post by BackInTex » Fri Sep 23, 2022 8:25 am

Joe Biden will now be referred to a WPE.
Spoiler
Worst President Ever
Short, succinct, and accurate.

Mortgage rates jump to 6.29% — the highest in 15 years. This is a couple days old. It may be worse now.

Back to back years of high inflation. The average the prior 9 years was 1.61% with the highest being 2.3%. 2021 was 7.0% and 2022 is 8.3 %. That is a compounded 15.9% over 2020.

The so called "Inflation Reduction Act" is a joke, a bad one. Even John Kerry admits it was a farce.

Our international enemies are stronger and more threatening than ever. We are closer to WWIII than ever before.

The stock market is now below when he took office.

I would never have thought he was that powerful.

I don’t think he’s a very good president, but didn’t a lot of the inflation happen because of spending that occurred under Trump? Supply chain issues that started under Trump?

I agree this act won’t do a lot to make things better.

Russia was “emboldened” to attack Ukraine because they were hoping that Trump was gonna be reelected and just let them walk in. Instead, they panicked and acted now because they thought this was their only window to attack. It’s been a disaster. Not sure why this is some thing that makes Biden look bad. I think most objective foreign policy observers think that Biden has handled the Ukraine situation very well.

I doubt you'll find many people who think that Russia is stronger than ever. Of course, under Trump, Russia wasn't our enemy but the country Trump sucked up to.

And apparently, Joe Biden is the most powerful President ever because he's somehow created record inflation all over the world as a result of one spending bill passed under his administration (as opposed to the multiple spending bills passed under Trump).

Ask senior citizens who need insulin if they think the Act is a bad joke.

Mandated price controls is not inflaction reduction. It is supply constricting, though. Maybe we wait a few years to ask them once those restrictions have had a chnce to metabolize in the supply chain.

I'll be the first to admit that the Biden administration hasn't done the best job of naming its legislation. But if you look at the actual provisions of the Act, they are popular with most of the public. That's why Republicans keep harping on the Act's name; they can't challenge most of the provisions on the merits. Similarly, while blaming Biden for inflation, they offer no solutions other than the decades-old generality about cutting wasteful spending (with no specifics).

I doubt that most of the public even knows what's in the bill, let alone how a specific provision might affect them.

I think that concluding President Biden is worse than Buchanan, who stood by as half of the country seceded and worse than Donny, who got virtually nothing done other than inciting an insurrection, says a lot more about you and your priorities (or your knowledge of history) than it says about President Biden. --Bob

This makes no sense. Why is it you think he would only let them walk in after re-election? They had a 4-year window to attack while he was actually the president.
