This isn't news by the way. Fact checkers pointed out that Biden exaggerated last summer when he made his statement, which was at a town hall and not part of a prepared speech. At that time, breakthrough infections were very rare. And Biden's statements were before the Delta and Omicron variants.

People who were vaccinated have fared far better in the pandemic than those who weren't.
