Here is a good test. Jasper, when feeling affectionate, likes to be rubbed from the tail towards his head. I have rubbed him backwards like that and I've also rubbed his tummy like a puppy, though much softer and slowly. He seems to love it. Perhaps they come from the same general stock. As you can tell by the photo, Kitty is bored silly and has that
