RIP Ivana Trump

Her ex-husband tweeted that she died on Truth Social with no details.
Not really. The button is probably a footer automatically placed on every email coming from that account, regarless of the message content. Does it look bad, sure, but the intent was not to use his wife's death as campaign leverage.Bob Juch wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 7:57 amDISGUSTING!
An email was sent to Trump's supporters with his message.
Screenshots of the email shared online show the message was immediately followed by a giant red button saying ‘donate to save America’.
The email was sent by ‘Save America PAC’.
Screenshots of the message were shared on Twitter by NBC reporter Andrea Mitchell and attorney Ron Filipkowski.
It's pointless to respond to these people. They keep on proving the point I made in another thread. They don't care if this is a RIP thread. I don't know who they are trying to convince, other than themselves.BackInTex wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 9:16 amNot really. They have elected a man as President of the Free World who is obviously senile and being directed in his actions by who knows who. They knew it when they voted for the guy, yet they did it because they have been indoctrinated to HATE Donald Trump. This senile man who they have gotten elected has done more damage to this country by his actions and inactions than any other previous president, including Jimmy Carter, in just 2 years. I could list his numerous failures, but to what end in this warped arena we call the bored?
Included with the senile man is a Vice President who gives no indication of having any depth of intellect, coherence of thought or even a hint of charisma.
And even so, wrapped up in their denial, they find the time to post garbage like this, so absorbed as they are in their hatred for Trump. They can't think back to the first 3 years of the Trump administration, where we had record prosperity, hope for real peace in the Middle East, the possibility for control of our southern border and so much more.
It is about nothing else for them but hatred of Trump. Why? Because that is what was fed into them for the 4 years he was President, starting with the lies that HE STOLE THE PRESIDENCY AND WAS NOT A LEGITIMATE PRESIDENT. (Oh, did we forget about that?) After 4 years of trying to find any legitimate evidence of Hillary's lie they couldn't find ANYTHING, yet they persist. And will stop at nothing to prevent looking into, with the thought of fixing the process, or allow anyone to even talk about, the mounting evidence that something was very fishy about the 2020 election. Even to the fact that they put together a completely partisan, undeniably biased lynch mob, disguised as a Congressional Hearing, to try and build a case for preventing him from running again in 2024, if he so chooses.
Their denial runs very deep, BiT.
I'll concede that the donate button was probably a standard footer for their email list that someone forgot to remove in this case. It's bad optics and distasteful but I can see it as a mistake and not a willful attempt to cash in.flockofseagulls104 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 11:57 amIt's pointless to respond to these people. Evidence of your indoctrination.posed a threat to the future of our Constitutional government.
Please give me credit for having some independent thought. My wife (who voted for the 45th President twice) will corroborate the fact that I used this phrase on Election night 2016. I didn't need any media to tell me what I could see in front of me.flockofseagulls104 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 4:56 pmEvidence of your indoctrination.posed a threat to the future of our Constitutional government.
Make a case for that, sir. On your own. You know and I both know you got that phrase, word for word, from the media propaganda you have been exposed to for 6 years.
Indoctrinated very early, before he even took office and could do anything at all to threaten the future of our Constitutional government?kroxquo wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 6:59 pmPlease give me credit for having some independent thought. 1. Undermining confidence in the electoral process thereby devaluing the basic constitutional principle of popular sovreigntyflockofseagulls104 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 4:56 pmMake a case for that, sir.posed a threat to the future of our Constitutional government.
I'm not sure why you're bothering, krox. Just as no election that a Democrat wins could possibly be legitimate, no conclusion that Donny was a danger to the Republic can possibly be the result of independent thought, rather than indoctrination. Just as the very fact that the Democrat won is all the evidence necessary to prove the election was illegitimate, the very fact that you've concluded Donny is a danger to the Republican is conclusive evidence of your indoctrination. It's the Republican equivalent of Hillary Clinton's "deplorables" comment, but rather than being embarrassed by it, they're doubling down.kroxquo wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 7:29 pm1. 2. Policiticizing the Justice Department so that is employed as his own personal service rather than an independent agency
3. Flouting the Constitutional duty of the Senate to confirm cabinet positions by appointing "acting" secretaries undermining the separation of powers
4. Bypassing the rule of law by issuing pardons to any number of poilitcal cronies (I realize that that is in his purview, but his use of it seems excessive)
5. His repeated attacks on the press turning a noble profession into (his words) "enemies of the people" and thereby denigrating one of the great watchdogs of American government
6. Using the White House as a partisan political stage, probably in violation of Federal law.
7. Refusing to concede an election he lost and submit to an orderly transfer of power that has been a hallmark of our government for more than 230 years.
8. Declaring that he has (his words) "absolute immunity" in legal matters as President and instructing government officials to ignore legally issued subpoenas.
9. The biggie - fomenting and attempting to overthrow the results of a free and fair election

This is why I'm convinced that compromise with the current incarnation of the Republican Party is impossible, and the only possible course of action is to electorally bulldoze them into political irrelevance. --Bob
Gee, I thought you made that determination on your own before he even took office? All these were left wing talking points made well after that by the press, which he is justified in calling 'fake news'.kroxquo wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 7:29 pm1. You didn't bother to do the second part of your assignment, so let me help you.
Both the administration before his and the present administration can be credibly accused of pretty much all these things, as well.
1. Hillary's big lie and the good ol' Russia hoax.
2. Holder and Garland. Are you serious?
3. I am not familiar with this, but apparently it must have been a loophole he used. Dems never do that, d.o they?
4. Really? You apparently don't like who he gave pardons to. That happens.
5. Noble profession? (wink wink) You seem to exclude Fox News and other conservative outlets, which Obama and Biden have repeatedly slandered.
6. No, Obama didn't do that at all....
7. Um, I think power was actually transferred, wasn't it? Or did I miss it?
8. I believe that is something to be decided by the courts.
9. The biggie. Pure unadulterated bullshit.

Who knows? Maybe some former posters would check in more often.
I agree, though, that something or another in his mind will justify re-neging come 8/15 or after being away for awhile.

You are. But only on one side of the aisle because you are caught in a legacy media echo chamber that is configured just like the Jan 6th committee. You only get one side of any story or issue. The side that fits the predetermined narrative.Sometimes I need to make sure that I'm not really making things worse in my mind then they really are.
