Nixon talked with Brezhnev and Mao. Reagan talked with Khrushchev. The current Bush Administration is talking with North Korea. But why doesn't John McCain want anybody talking with Iran? Answer: Because diplomacy is for pussies.
GWB always likes to say "all options are on the table", so why should holding talks in order to prevent war be off the table? Answer: Because McCain has never met a war that he didn't like. If he were to become President, there is nothing that he wants more than a war with Iran. Only a warmonger like McCain would have the chutzpah to laugh while singing "bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran".
This country cannot afford to elect a President with reckless foreign policies and an Orwellian method of thinking that "war is peace".

Do you and Obama understand the difference between diplomatic contacts and a world leader summit?NellyLunatic1980 wrote:[

Do you have any idea how much your rants against Bush sound like the attacks on Reagan when he was taking on the USSR?
Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

I do seem to remember Nancy used psychics. Maybe Nancy is the Reagan that Nelly is referring to.MarleysGh0st wrote:Really?NellyLunatic1980 wrote:Reagan talked with Khrushchev.
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.
