Spent Sunday, July 3rd with the youngest on a quick trip to the Cities.
He has had a hard time finding bullets for his new rifle and about the only reasonably close place was in a northern suburb of the Twin Cities.
So we did that-and as is our custom on any trip to the Cities we stopped at my favorite restaurant.

Then we came home a different way, which took us to Darwin, MN-the home of the biggest ball of twine in Minnesota.

As we approached the site-we had the song blaring in the pickup. I could not get him to take a picture with it though. Funnily enough, there were really people by it and taking pictures.
Apparently, several states are players in the Twine Ball world and I have been suggesting to the family that we should build a trip around seeing them all. I am not getting very far with that though.
