RIP Marion Barber

Former running back with the Dallas Cowboys (and for one year with the Bears) and a fan favorite for his hardnosed style. He was apparently found dead in his apartment by police following a wellness check. No cause of death yet.
Age 38.

The coroner's office has ruled that Barber died of heatstroke.

I would have thought he'd been trained how to avoid that.
We lose dozens of people every year in Arizona.

Washington Post story, which I am not in a position to link right now, says his thermostat was set to 91, and that the coroner’s report said he was known to exercise in sauna-like conditions.
