During the NFL draft this week, the league announced that on Thursday, September 15, the Los Angeles Chargers -Kansas City Chiefs game will be the first game broadcast as part of Amazon Prime's 11-year exclusive Thursday night package. There will be 15 Thursday night games (not including opening week and Thanksgiving) and one preseason game each year. The games will be available for local broadcast in the participating teams' home market, but otherwise, the only way to watch is through Amazon Prime. Al Michaels, Kirk Herbstreit, and Tony Gonzales will provide the play-by-play and commentary.
The rest of the NFL schedule will be released May 12.
