Tweeter

I have no dogs in the hunt with twitter. I have never once tweeted anything. I have never signed up for it and have avoided it like the plague for years. Even before they got into the 'all the speech we think you need to see' mode.
But there may be a new hope.
I posted before about Musk getting into it. Now, since he's seen what their response was about him joining the Board, he's decided to maybe go whole hog and buy the entire cesspool and remodel it into something that might let voices that are a little to the right of AOC voice their opinions without getting censored.
I don't know if I trust Elon Musk. He's saying the right things, but I don't know if he will make it better. But he certainly will have a difficult time making it any worse...

Bret Taylor
Chairman of the Board,
I invested in Twitter as I believe in its potential to be the platform for free speech around the globe, and I believe free speech is a societal imperative for a functioning democracy.
However, since making my investment I now realize the company will neither thrive nor serve this societal imperative in its current form. Twitter needs to be transformed as a private company.
As a result, I am offering to buy 100% of Twitter for $54.20 per share in cash, a 54% premium over the day before I began investing in Twitter and a 38% premium over the day before my investment was publicly announced. My offer is my best and final offer and if it is not accepted, I would need to reconsider my position as a shareholder. Twitter has extraordinary potential. I will unlock it.
