Singer/actor who became popular in the 1960s with songs like Wild One, World Without Love, and his version of Volare. He also played Ann-Margret's boyfriend in Bye Bye Birdie. His role was a bit part in the stage version but was rewritten and expanded once he was cast. Most people probably remember his name today as the inspiration for Rydell High, the school in Grease.
