The NFL has changed the rules for overtime in the postseason to guarantee each team a possession. If the team that receives the kickoff scores a touchdown, they would then attempt the extra point and kick off to the other team. If the other team ties the game during its first possession, the game would revert to sudden death. This new rule is for the playoffs only; regular season games would proceed as before.
What this means is that you could see teams attempting more two-point conversions during the opening possession. Certainly, if a team that was seven points down scored a TD, they would be strongly tempted to go for two and a win rather than risk losing on the other team's next possession. And the team that receives the opening kickoff might go for two as well to make sure they couldn't lose the game if the other team scored.
