I Wish That I Had Known

I have spent over 6 years working on pipeline permitting actions, including Keystone XL and Dakota Access, and I never knew that I had experts on oil pipelines (e.g., spill rates, construction schedules, environmental impacts of alternative transportation, etc) available to me on this Bored.
I could have saved the United States government and several courts a bunch of time.

I don't know about the others but since 2006 I've worked for two different companies, both of which built much of the original Keystone pipeline and one that built the DAPL pipeline and was already mobilized to build out much of the rest of XL. And both of those companies also had a large presence in the Canadian Tar Sands, building infrastructure and operating facilities.
And prior to that I worked a couple year for the company that owned and operated what is now Gulf South Pipeline.
So, yes, I do have some knowledge about the operations and construction of pipelines, and what the alternatives are.

Most of what I know about the pipeline came from the hearings.

C'mon, man. You haven't been so rare around here as to have forgotten our three (give or take) experts-in-all-things.

Which you might know if you were capable of understanding the issues for yourself instead of simply quoting talking points whose limitations you demonstrably donβt understand.
I take their word for it that I am not capable of understanding the issues for myself. So I take the time to research it and link to what other people think, who seem to know the issues better than I do.
BUT I KEEP ON FINDING RIGHT-WING TALKING POINTS!
I wish the experts would label them as such.

You link to people who think like you think and seem to be able to express themselves better than you, like Prager U. But they're still the same talking points.

Y'all need to respond to Appa. Not your respective echo chambers.

Sorry. I thought it was pertinent. If Appa or BiT happened to accidentally validate something I stated, or if they disagreed with the know-it-alls on the bored, would they automatically become right-wing talking points? That's all I was trying to ask. I'll butt out.

Sometimes people, not me, obviously, may avoid following up what with the detritus that carries from post to post. That's all.
