No fewer than five lobbyists who are members of the McCain campaign team have resigned over the past few weeks. The most recent resigner from the campaign was former U.S. House representative Thomas Loeffler (TX), a big lobbyist for AT&T and Saudi Arabia, among others. A week before last, a lobbyist for Hamas resigned from the McCain campaign.

McCain's campaign is still being run by lobbyists. Campaign manager Rick Davis was a lobbyist for Verizon and SBC. Chief political adviser Charles Black lobbied for AT&T, Alcoa, J.P. Morgan, and U.S. Airways. Senior advisers Marc McKinnon and Steve Schmidt lobbied for Fannie Mae, Dell, and Land O Lakes.

Replationships also include former telecom lobbyist/MILF Vicki Iseman and Arizona real estate baron Donald Diamond, both of which have become prominent newsmakers this year.

So when you hear McCain say "I've never done any favors for anybody--lobbyist or special interest group--that's a clear, 24-year record", know that he's talking out of his arse.

If the price is right, you've got a friend in John McCain.

McCain is not my guy. I couldn't care less if Presidential candidates have lobbyists in their campaign staff, but this is an issue where Obama is rife with hypocrisy.

Who is your guy?

I have no argument with your statement about Obama and this issue.

My guy was and remains Mike Huckabee. I know I can't vote for him in November, but he's still my guy.

What do you make of that?

I do know he probably had to endorse someone.

It's almost impossible to find good political people who have not worked as lobbyists at some time. However, Charlie Black has lobbied for some of the world's worst dictators.
