Wile E. Coyote v. Acme

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Wed Feb 16, 2022 11:00 pm

This is such a great concept, I just wonder why they didn't do this sooner. Warner Brothers will release a live action/animation hybrid movie, much like the recent Space Jam, featuring the ever hapless Wile E. Coyote. In the film, the coyote, who will apparently be somewhat of a sympathetic character, will sue the Acme Corporation because their devices never work and repeatedly injure him. He hires a down-on-his-luck attorney who used to be at a major law firm to take his case. The only cast member that's been announced so far is John Cena, who will play the head of the major law firm that will be representing Acme. The film is based on a 1990 article that appeared in the New Yorker that imagined just such a lawsuit. The article comprises the opening argument that the coyote's lawyer makes. The entire backstory and supporting characters are all new.

It's about time. The Road Runner was the true villain of that series, the smug bastard....

For today's fun, let's all cast the characters. I'll start.

Wile E. Coyote: Tim McGraw
Down and out lawyer representing Wile E.: Renée Zellweger

edited: I have my casting backwards.

John Cena has already been cast as the big-shot lawyer representing Acme. Since this is a live-action/animated hybrid like Space Jam, the coyote and presumably Road Runner will be animated.

Acme didn't make a 40kg Solid Heat Treated Round Double Horn Metal anvil in 1986. They didn't make them until 1991.

But had Acme made a 40kg Solid Heat Treated Round Double Horn Metal anvil in 1986 the impact force on a non-movable object from a 125 foot drop would be 37,849 foot pounds..... drop dead center.

What a great idea!

One of my friends is a huge Wile E. fan. He's built up a bit of a shrine over the years. One of these days, if I think of it, I'll take a photo and post it in this thread. I might have to ask LB to help me.

WileE.Fan's wife's patience apparently has limits. His friends (notice how she glanced meaningfully in my direction) and family (that was more of a direct stare at MatiasMom) are not allowed to buy him any duplicates. If we see something enticing at a shop or on Amazon, we must first check to make sure he doesn't already have it.
