The firm that has been subpoenaed over Mr. Trump's finances suddenly have decided they can't do his accounting work anymore.

Further, they're saying that folks can't rely upon their previous work for him.
The accounting firm Mazars USA said financial statements from the Trump Organization over a nine-year period can no longer be viewed as reliable, according to a letter made public Monday by New York Attorney General Letitia James as part of her civil probe of the former president’s company.

Mazars also said it will no longer work with the Trump Organization, meaning the company may have to get new financial statements that could complicate its ability to secure loans.

In a letter from Mazars Group General Counsel William J. Kelly to Trump Organization Chief Legal Officer Alan Garten, the auditing firm said its work from 2011 to 2020 is "should not be relied upon."
As a CPA, I can tell you that this is not a good thing for Mazars. Saying your firm has done shoddy work (at best) for almost a decade is going to get some folks' (and the firm's) licenses yanked.

I don't know who wrote that, but that is not what it means.

They may have to hire a new firm which will have to do some work and issue restated financials but a firm no longer working with a company does not mean they will have to get new financials. That said "Mazars USA said financial statements from the Trump Organization over a nine-year period can no longer be viewed as reliable" does mean the company may have to get new financials.

Shoddy reporting.

I've done financial restatements. It is not fun. I've presented restated financials to the SEC. Even less fun. I prepared a 10K for a company who just restated 5 years of financial results. Even less fun. That's why I'm now on the IT side. Much more fun.

A NY judge has ruled that Trump is in contempt of court and must pay $10K a day until he gives tha attorney general documents that she has subpoenaed. (That’s like you or me paying 10¢ a day.)

Of course, as per the usual trump game plan, it will be all tied up in appeals to stall it off. Trump is hitting the sweet spot now, any appeals for just about anything can outlast his lifespan.

Yep. TDS will never stop. It's reeeeeaaal old. And most of the mud that has been thrown has been proven completely, just that, mud. Nobody believes you but you anymore.
But none of these goons will ever look into the corruption that is staring them in the face from Hills and Biden, to name just two.

And the judges who keep ruling against Donny because he, you know, chooses to act as though he's too rich for the law to apply to him. Don't forget them. --Bob

Letitia James has had a personal TDS vendetta against Trump from day 1. She has not even tried to hide it. She has and is using her prosecutorial powers as a political weapon. She should have been kicked out of office a LONG time ago. But this is how politics works these days.

There sure are a lot of people who have personal TDS vendettas against Trump. You can add the DA here in Atlanta to the list as well.
