I've Been Assigned to Howard County, TX

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Wed Jan 26, 2022 11:42 pm

These marching orders came from Beto O'Rourke himself in an email. He wants me to go to Howard County to help mobilize voters for the governor's election this year. (Actually he wants my money, but my idea seems more exciting.) I don't know much about Howard County, but I'm sure it's a real fun place to spend a month or two comparing notes with Beto and his campaign staff and going door-to-door for Beto. I hope they've got a lot of movie theaters with cheap matinees there so I can stay on top of the latest arthouse releases.

You're too kind, SSS. I don't even read E-mails like that anymore, I just skip to the bottom and unsubscribe.

You should fit right in there. It was a 79% Trump county in 2020.

I encourage you to go there and campaign hard.

Big Spring is a good place to get away from it all.

That's a short drive (230 miles) west down I-20 from where I now live.
