Finally, a house for all of us to share

#1 Post by Vandal » Wed Jan 19, 2022 9:38 pm

All we have to do is break a few piggy banks and pool our cash:

Behold The One—a record-breaking Los Angeles estate with 105,000 square feet of living space and, it seems, a nearly $350 million price tag

Image

After nearly a decade of design and development work, what is being billed as “the world’s most expensive home” is finally ready for its close-up. Set on a five-acre parcel in the posh Los Angeles enclave of Bel Air—and aptly named The One—the 105,000-square-foot property’s interiors have remained a closely guarded secret. Until now. AD has been an exclusive look at what’s inside this record-setting property—and the design and aesthetic minds that made it happen.

It comes with 21 bedrooms and 42 bathrooms. It also boasts amenities like a 10,000-bottle wine cellar, 30-car garage, 40-person movie theater, private nightclub, sky deck, putting green, salon, bowling alley, and more.

Oooh, dibs on the wine cellar!
And maybe one bathroom.

Hey, there are only 42 bathrooms! Don't get greedy.

I'd like to reserve a room in the left wing.

Well, that goes with any decor, naturally. It can illuminate my velvet Elvis painting.

Picture lots of taxidermy of African animals.

It's not a pool, it's a moat!

The master suite is almost twice the size of my whole house!

Well then, having the wine cellar but no bathroom won't be an issue.

I can't believe that the house was built on spec and is going to be auctioned. That's a huge risk to take.

Sorry, I can't imagine sharing a house with that many people.

I'm out.

Hey, the Covid Era has affected me so much less that so many other people. The one thing it has done has been to transform me from a virtual hermit to an actual hermit. :|

If the kitchen isn't at least as big as the master bedroom, GW won't like it. I'll pass.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

She'd run herself ragged if the kitchen was over 4,500 square feet!
