Get ready Big Apple, my lovely daughter is coming to town!
She's part of a group of teachers and students from Madison County Elementary School in beautiful downtown Gurley, Alabama. They'll get a busy 3 day, 2 night stay in the city May 27 - 29.
Tuesday, they fly up to Newark, see Chinatown, eat at Mars 2112, watch "The Lion King", and get their picture taken in Times Square.
Wednesday, they get up early and go to The Today Show, take the NBC studio tour, walk around Fifth Avenue, tour Yankee Stadium, Macy's, and the Empire State Building.
Thursday is the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, the financial district and ground zero, then heading to LaGuardia for the flight home.
She's trying to figure out how to wrangle more time in Macy's, and since she's a notoriously finicky eater, I've been busy checking for places she would actually eat at. I couldn't talk her into an audition though
