Damn.

Saw her a few years ago. She could still bring it. Be My Baby is one of my all time favorites. Her last album, from a couple of years ago, was pretty strong.

She was one of a kind.

And yeah, sexy as hell.

In the old neighborhood, you never had to buy a record if you were OK with the Ronettes, the Ramones, the Everly Brothers, and on and on. Unwritten rule was that quiet hours were 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. It was a dark day when Marcella's big sister moved away and took all her albums with her.

Sad news. I enjoyed her vocals on a Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes song, You Mean So Much to Me.

Zendaya will portray Ronnie Spector in an upcoming biopic.
