I've seen references to LL here and on the J! board, but I don't know exactly what it is.

Oh my word. You're perfect for it!
https://learnedleague.com/

There are varying "rundles", groups within league divisions. Like J!, no googling etc, one game per day of 6 questions, per season that lasts a month or so. Defense is key since you assign points to each question, according to opponents' strengths.
I think rookie rundle is free then you buy membership. Read link.
Lemme know

I appreciate the referral and have enjoyed it immensely. The current mini-leagues are super hard.

Even the one days are very, um, specific.

As I understand it (never having played), there's one other very important thing to know. Don't forfeit. Make sure you play all of your games. Forfeiting has league-wide deleterious effects and they take it very seriously. --Bob

I'm back down in E. Last time ended in the top 4ish and back to D. This session had tons of ties, but, duh, not enuf wins. It was sad. Lotsa second guessing and oh no clue...

How'd you do on the one day about Vegas entertainers?

I haven't done any in awhile. My brain apparently has large gaps of cultural literacy.

Too much going on. Not sufficiently confident I can honor the "don't forfeit" rule. --Bob

You can get questions earlier with schedule probs I think. Just something to consider.

Perhaps, but it's an activity that's supposed to be fun, and stressing over whether I can fit it into my schedule seems to me the opposite of fun.

Hell, I don't always remember to play Wordle, and I think I have yet to get through an entire season of Lyrically Speaking with a perfect attendance record, but there are no consequences for dropping the ball there. --Bob

I got 237 pts (64th percentile). I liked that one a lot.
