He was delightful in Cat Ballou.
Cat: Mrs. Parker didn't introduce us. I'm Catherine Ballou.
Jed: I'm drunk as a skunk.
That was Dwayne. It was so fun. I looked up the quote to make sure I got it right, and I laughed out loud at some of the other quotes.
-- In Iroquois society, leaders are encouraged to remember seven generations in the past and consider seven generations in the future when making decisions that affect the people.
-- America would be a better place if leaders would do more long-term thinking. -- Wilma Mankiller

Loved Dobie Gillis. Guess I was about 6 when it started. Dobie Dobie Dobie!

Bob Denver memorably played beatnik Maynard G. Krebs ("You rang?).

Pretty surprised that there were 148 episodes. I would have guessed fewer than that.

I liked "Love That Bob," too, but I don't remember Dwayne Hickman being in it for some reason. I remember Schultzy (played by Ann B. Davis) very well, though.

Dobie aired on Nick at Nite back in its glory days when I was watching it a lot, sometimes all night. I really loved the later episodes in the series where it kinda became more of an absurd comedy that was fueled by the show's running gags and weird side characters. My rule was the darker Dwayne Hickman's hair was at the start of the episode, the better it was going to be....

And I'm probably one of the few people who will immediately think of Maynard G. Krebs rather than Gilligan when Bob Denver's name comes up...
