Pretty sure we'll be wearing masks for dust from demo. But not requiring workers get covid tests.

While beginning a remodeling project, I often tell my clients that when we get to the drywall sanding stage that they will want to look me in the eyes and say, "I hate you, when will you be out of my house"

All of them laugh.

Until we get to the drywall sanding stage ..........

I highly recommend getting a POD or similar storage container that you can place on site, especially if this is a whole house reno that will touch most of the rooms. Having to move furniture and stuff multiple times is a huge labor sink not only in the moving time needed but the extra effort required for stopping and starting again with portions of the project. For example: It will take a week to hang, tape and multiple mud coats for drywall. Since it's a drying time issue, it will take that same week if you do one room or all of them. All around it's just so much better if you can move stuff once, get the work done and then put it back when you are finished. If you are living in the house while this is going on then even if you can store most of your stuff and just keep the essentials it will help out a lot.

If you have a garage, you can also store stuff there, but considering that it's Winter you may need the garage for construction space or space to store raw materials.

My granddaughter Brittany now works for a home remodeling company in Boulder, CO. They don't bother with any projects under $500,000. She's the one who has to listen to the clients and get the workers to take care of problems or handle change orders. She doesn't have think skin, so I don't think she'll be there very long even if they love her.

Taking all prayers. Contractor said we don't need a pod. We have a small house and they can move stuff around. Demoing bathrooms first. We used him at our last place to sell, so we trust him. There won't be drywall except for master bath. Just spackling and painting on walls. Well except for cupboardy stuff and mounting tv and pocket door...
