Kay had surgery last night to remove an intestinal blockage and also her gall bladder. All is well enough at the moment.

Kay seems likely to spend a day or two at the hospital, recovering. It sounds like stuff is still unpleasant but that the danger is over.

Good to hear! I hope she avoids a nosocomial infection. I didn't.
