I am most happy with the selection of Mr. O'Neil, although I would be happier if they had voted him in while he was still alive to appreciate it. A wonderful, extremely likable ambassador for the game, and indeed for human dignity, and easily the highlight of Ken Burns' "Baseball" documentary with his stories and insight.

It's good to see Minnie Minoso honored. His eligibility periods were messed up by stunt appearances he made over the years so that he could claim to have played in the most different decades of eny player.

None of them were as good, or famous (Hall of Fame) as Pete Rose.
