Actress best known for lead roles in mostly B-movies in the late 1940s and 1950s, as well as Journey to the Center of the Earth. She was also the ex-wife of Fernando Lamas and mother of actor Lorenzo Lamas. One of her films, Slightly Scarlet, has become a minor cult favorite over the years thanks to the casting of her and fellow redhead Rhonda Fleming as the female leads in a rare color noir.
