Madame Acting President

#1 Post by bazodee » Fri Nov 19, 2021 9:03 am

Surely a topic for a future trivia question, the United States had its first female executive today when Vice-President Harris became Acting President while Joe Biden was undergoing a colonoscopy.

Yesterday VP Harris met with visiting PM Trudeau and the Mexican President.

Some past Veeps, such as Cheney, wielded considerable power, but they weren’t as obvious. As I’ve commented before, Biden seems to be grooming Harris to take over in 2025.

Despite all of the reports that Harris is not really being given anything to do, and the frigid relationship between her staff and Biden’s staff?

The White House has pushed back pretty hard on that narrative. --Bob

He political career is over. She may be able to get elected as US Senator for NY but that’s about it.

But my money is by on her being POTUS sometime in the next 24 months.

The highlight of the Harris Administration was the Rittenhouse acquittal.
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.
