I found Smith rather late in life-circa 2010-but I did a pretty complete read of his books and he lit the fire for me to go to Africa in 2013 (and by extension 2021).

One of my friends finds an author and reads every book by that author, attempting to do it in chronological order. He had a great time with Smith.
