I am assuming that this may have been done already to the extent possible-but I keep thinking of lost major posters here like KT and SirG and Peahen or whoever and I am wondering if anyone who has real life contact with anyone who may care about SC or Donna has been in contact with them or whatever.

I don't have contact info for anyone with so I can't help out.

Sir G posts regularly on Facebook. Pea posts there sporadically, last time in June, which is also the most recent time she posted here when she played Jamboree. She doesn't seem to be on Social Media all that much. As far as I know, she's OK. KT I don't know about.

Slight miscommunication-no big deal. I wasn't enquiring about the health of long-lost BB's. I was trying to ask if there are people who should be told of Judy and Donnas' deaths.

Speaking as someone who has been here for over 20 years, I think the original postings here as well as the follow-up memories about Judy and Donna are quite appropriate. I know that I remain in contact with a few BB's who no longer post or even visit this bored and I privately let them know what had happened. I would want the same news to be shared if something happened to me although Mrs. Jaybee knows to make a post here if I die.

Starting to remind me of my Dad's reunion group of all the sailors who served on his ship in WWII. My Dad put the newsletter together (quarterly, I think) and it later became an on-line forum. There were occasional get-togethers every few years for some and I know that there were many life-long friendships made. But for the most part this was a group that had not seen each other since 1945. As you would expect, each newsletter carried the news of who had died since the last one - that was the only way to find out.

A final Rest In Peace to Judy and Donna. May Heaven be filled with quilts, dogs and a working phone game.
Jaybee

I am in relatively regular contact with KT on Twitter. I will let him know. I let Alpha Dummy know, too.

I will check with a couple of people - Catfish, Peahen and BDM.

Thanks for alerting me.
I drifted away from the Bored in recent years, preoccupied with other things.
My own mother, who is about a year or two older than Judy and was also on WWTBAM, recently passed away as well. In her memory I now have a new companion, her cat.

I hope to stop by here now at least occasionally.

It's good to hear from you again, hope you'll stay in touch. We're sorry to hear about your mother. Mrs. SSS's cousin died about three years ago, and she and her two brothers were his only living relatives. She inherited his cat, and that little animal is the sweetest thing. It's slept next to Mrs. SSS almost every night since then. It's been a great comfort to her when times have been tough since then. I hope you will find similar comfort with your new companion and it will keep your mother's memory close to you.

I haven't been here in ages so I thanked Saucy for letting me know about Judy.

I met Judy in Vegas 20 years ago and what a great friend. I was so shocked to hear about her passing as well as Christie's.

I'm sure I'll be coming back here more often.

I'm Facebook friends with some of you so I knew about Snaxx's mom.

At least for me, this year hasn't been too bad.......knock on wood.

Last year was awful - we lost our niece's 51-year-old husband in a freak accident and then lost my sister-in-law/best friend after battling lupus for 53 years.

I promise to come back more often.

Cheers from Ontario!

Ellen
