RIP Marc Pilcher

Makeup artist who won an Emmy last month for his work on Bridgerton.
Pilcher died of COVID at age 53. He had been fully vaccinated (with the UK vaccine) and tested negative before coming to the United States to attend the Emmy ceremony. He also had no underlying health conditions. The Emmy awards are actually held over four nights on two different weekends due to the large number of categories. The televised ceremonies on CBS were only the biggest award winners. Pilcher received his Emmy earlier with the other technical award winners. From pictures I saw of Pilcher's ceremony, the seating looked pretty much the same as at the televised CBS ceremonies, namely lots of people at large tables, close together with each other and maskless.
