This takes me back even farther than Tom T. Hall, all the way back to junior high.

BFFs Rose and Rose were crazy about the Everly Brothers and would inflict this passion on anyone who would listen . . . or see. Don and Phil were plastered all over their notebooks and lockers. Somehow they missed Beatlemania, which afflicted the rest of us.

I liked Wake Up, Little Susie because it was the most fun to sing along with -- "The movie wasn't so hot, It didn't have much of a plot, we fell asleep, our goose is cooked, our reputation is SHOT!!!"
