Vibes request

#1 Post by Bob Juch » Sun Aug 08, 2021 1:48 pm

My daughter Heather is in the ICU in Denver with a perforated ulcer in her duodenum. A repair is scheduled for tomorrow.

She posted on FB that her operation was at 11 AM today. They moved it up. Who does surgery on a Sunday?

I haven't heard from her. :(

I talked to her at about 7:30. She said she was still groggy from the anesthetic and might have to have another operation.

Heather wasn't contacting me with updates, but I called her a couple of hours ago and she told me:

Yesterday they did an exploratory surgery and found nothing. The first surgeon had said the scan showed she had a perforated ulcer. Someone is incompetent or our vibes and prayers made it go away.

The surgeon from yesterday said he, "thinks there's a problem with her pancreas."

She was checked out and waiting for a ride home.

More when I know it.

From bad to good to potentially worse. Continued prayer.

Heather called earlier. She said they did operate on Sunday. There was a rip that they cauterized. That sounds strange. Maybe they were dumbing it down for her.

They called her today and said the surgeon needs to talk to her about her pancreas. She has to go to his office; they couldn't tell her anything over the phone. That's worrisome.

The doctor today says there's nothing wrong with her pancreas.
