Nope, this article didn't show up on Google News search. Thanks for the find!
From the article:
Motsinger said he and his wife, Wanda, play the board game version regularly, and he routinely answers the $125,000 and $250,000 questions with ease.
“Just the other night she read a question off a card, ‘How long does it take the light from the sun to reach Earth?’” he said. “I told her ‘eight seconds’ before she even gave me my choices.”
Wow, that's impressive, Ronnie!
Of course, the correct answer is a bit over
eight minutes...
I hope they do a follow-up article, even if he doesn't pass the written.

That article reminds me of the first two times I walked out of road auditons and was 100% convinced that I was about to be invited to the show. As many of us did, I soon learned the ugly truth. He will too.

How long has it been since $125K and $250 questions were
routine?

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but I'm guessing if you play the board game routinely, you are familiar with all the questions at some point. Not necessarily an indicator of future performance...
But then again maybe I'm just jealous that I didn't get that much attention leading up to my audition!!

Yeah, I think we all noticed that point. Have you learned one of our Bored conventions? When we use the bold and italic fonts together, we call that
Sarcafont. You can imagine anything written that way to be said in a sarcastic tone of voice.

I don't care about audition publicity, just give me a turn in the Hot Seat.
