Perhaps buoyed by the success of Peyton and Cooper Manning as hosts of the new and considerably dumbed down College Bowl, ESPN announced that Peyton and his other brother Eli will be hosting "alternative" broadcasts on 30 Monday Night Football games over the next three seasons. These broadcasts will be on ESPN 2 and perhaps other services as well. In addition to commentary from the Manning brothers, each broadcast will have a host, and various celebrities and athletes will also appear. According to the official news release: "Fans will be treated to a mix of in-the-moment analysis, big picture NFL dialogue, knee-jerk reaction, historical perspective, and more." For 2021, the Manning broadcasts will occur on the first three Monday night games of the season (Ravens-Raiders, Lions-Packers, Eagles-Cowboys), plus seven others to be chosen later.
