Reboot
May I share some ICU observations:
No sleep for 4 days. No narcotics of any sort so as not to mask brain doins. Just tylenol and a muscle relaxant.
Had to keep bp below 100 systolic to prevent bleeds.
Had decadron, steroid, to prevent brain swelling. Fun stuff that. It enabled me to project animated pics on the wall just by loosening my eyeballs. I could make them go away and once they stopped the med I couldn't do it anymore. Bummer.
Must sleep at 45 deg angle for 2 weeks, no leaning over, lifting, blah blah, so cerebrospinal fluid doesn't leak out. Am sleeping A LOT and vegging. Merv was pissed at me for being gone.
Here's a pic of the actual incision, spoilered if you don't wanna see. Sis in law said it looks like a pigtail on a Tibetan monk.
That's it for now. Must walk 3 feet then rest.

Please be super careful about the sleeping instructions. Spinal headaches are no joke. Well, so is leaking cerebrospinal fluid, but you know what I mean.

OK, I'm just going to go ahead and say it, "That looks like one of those millipedes that goes skittering across your bathroom floor after you step out of the tub"
But that aside - Hang in there. Rest. Baby steps. Every day will get better.

BEEBS!! So glad you're back. We need to come up with an epic story for that sucker.

I'm all for saving a few bucks, but in retrospect, perhaps it wasn't such a great idea to be a practice customer at the Sinead O'Connor Barber School. I'm thinking that student should find another potential career and be legally restricted from ever picking up a razor again.
or howzabout...
I understand the need for human interaction after the whole pandemic thing, but perhaps in this case it would've been wiser to employ a WEE bit of social distancing at the recent meeting of the ladies' sewing circle..
I got a million of 'em..all equally as bad.

Had my post surgery followup today! Having a glass of wine to celebrate, which is okay.
Neck is still soreish, but eh.
Final report indicated the glob was in the supratentorial and infratentorial, ie expanded to the cerebrum as well as cerebellum. Done except for followups in 6 months.

Don't let Billy Bob T. see this statement.
Otherwise, I am delighted at the good news.
