Samuel L. Jackson to Receive Honorary Oscar

After not awarding any honorary Oscars last year (Tyler Perry did receive the Hersholt Award), the MPAA announced they will give the Lifetime Achievement award to Samuel L. Jackson, Elaine May, and Liv Ullmann. In addition, Danny Glover will receive the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award. At one time, these awards were given out during the main ceremony, but for the past few years, they have been given out at a separate "Governors Award" presentation, this time to be held January 15, 2022. I would really have loved to see Jackson up on the main stage to accept his award, seeing how much of his speech doesn't get bleeped.
