I'm headed for Colorado Springs tomorrow for the Democratic State Convention, so I may have to leave y'all to your own devices. I'm hoping to meet Mark Udall, but I think there won't be any Clinton or Obama sightings.
The conference hotel is supposedly wi-fi cabable throughout -- if that's true, I'll look in for updates on all our favorite politicos.

This is a public computer in the hotel lobby -- I have two more minutes.
I had a good trip -- no rain yet.
I have my Hillary button!

Wow - things have changed - when I lived there a democratic state convention would have doubled the number of democrats in El Paso County

Now they're probably tripling the number.

Times have changed, much for the better. Virtually every speech -- well, maybe not State Treasurer Cary Kennedy -- bragged about Colorado's advances in wind, solar, geothermal, or biofuels power.
Representative John Salazar talked about how he once met with four (!) Dems in Mesa County, and now Mesa had the second largest contingent at the Third Congressional with 121. Pueblo County still had the most with 197.
The Third CD is a huge district and very difficult to represent. It covers almost all the Western Slope counties plus about half the southern counties on the other side of the Divide.

The hotel had online capability throughout.
Only problem, to get wireless, you needed a password. And to get that, you hadda be a VIP or staying at the hotel.
Since I was neither, I was outta luck.
Oh well.

Also in convention news, Gov. Ritter's 22-year-old son made headlines with a party involving alcohol and stupidity at the Governor's mansion.
The stupidity did not include anyone under 21, sex, or DUI.
The stupidity did include some "friend" of the young man posting drinking photos from the party on the Net.

Hmmmm
Wonder how forbidding people to do things and then being ignored feels.
