Synopsis-it is very unlikely that a well-shuffled deck of cards has ever been in the same order in the history of cards.

Thinking about my odd win at Video Poker the other night when we went to the casino for Mrs Spock's birthday.

I like to play nickel video poker and I only play versions of the game where Aces and 2's, 3's and 4's are worth more than other 4 of a kinds.

I also do not play any version of Deuces Wild.

In the hour to an hour and a half that we were there-I hit 4 "2's" three times. This was pretty cool-and I imagine not great odds for that to happen. I did not hit any other 4 of a kinds.

But, the weakness of nickel video poker is that you never win a lot (you also don't lose a lot) and I only walked out $20 ahead.

I know that. Hence my decision to almost always play the low stakes nickel poker when we go.
