From a recent article in "Drovers" a beef industry publication.
The article was about Marx Foods, which mostly supplied restaurants prior to Covid and then turned to selling direct to consumers as that market dried up for awhile.
They apparently have 2 locations-New Jersey and Seattle.
I literally can't count the number of times that "Sustainable" and variations on that theme appear in the the article. They serve wealthy customers and their 'Story" is obviously how sustainable and environmentally friendly they are.
The funny part though, is that they source a lot of their grass-fed beef in New Zealand.
Really, shipping beef from New Zealand to here is sustainable? Funny, they never mentioned the environmental costs of shipping that distance in the article.
