Comedy writer who was a member of the initial writing team for Saturday Night Live. She created several of the show's iconic characters, including the Nerds and Dan Aykroyd's sleazy pitchman Irwin Mainway. Before that, she was an editor at National Lampoon, where she created their Vokswagen parody ad, "If Ted Kennedy Drove a Volkswagen, He'd Be President Today."
