Story updated with statement from Woods' agent Mark Steinberg:

"Tiger Woods was in a single-car accident this morning in California where he suffered multiple leg injuries. He is currently in surgery and we thank you for your privacy and support."

"Multiple leg injuries" is not good for any person, especially an athlete. His bad back might now be the least of his worries, professionally speaking.

Not a particularly tough stretch of road. Either he was distracted or someone cut him off and he over maneuvered.

I wish Tiger Woods well, but was a non-fatal injury to a golfer deserving of the endless news coverage it received all day today? There was more coverage of this accident on CNN than on ESPN.

Because otherwise they'd have to fill their air time covering the cluster**** that is the current administration.

Admittedly, quiet efficiency is far more boring to cover than the spectacular bombastic ineptitude of the Trump Administration.

SNL cast members have said they're too plain to be funny.

Right, Rachel Levine is too plain. SNL doesn't have the balls to do that skit, even if it was to mock Rand Paul.

Tiger Woods thought he was in Florida when a deputy interviewed him at the Los Angeles hospital following the golfer's rollover crash in February, according to a 22-page collision report obtained by USA Today.

The document revealed new details surrounding Woods' single car accident, including how his blood pressure was “too low to administer any type of pain medication” shortly after the accident.

There was an empty, unlabeled pharmaceutical bottle in a backpack at the scene.

And, data from the vehicle’s black-box recorder showed that the golfer was driving in a straight line before a small amount of steering input registered late in the wreck sequence.
