Tampa Bay won this Super Bowl on the last night of the regular season when the Eagles deliberately went into the tank to get a better draft choice. Otherwise, Brady would have played the Giants in the first round of the playoffs.

Playoff Records

Tom Brady vs. New York Giants 0-2; 0 Super Bowl Wins
Tom Brady vs. Rest of the World 34-9; 7 Super Bowl Wins

I know you're just trolling, but l let me see if I have this straight. Brady and the Bucs decisively beat three teams with Super Bowl MVP QBs en route to the title, but are lucky they didn't have to play the soul-crushing 6-10 Giants (who haven't been to the playoffs since 2016) in the first round. Makes perfect sense.

Punky Phil sees his shadow, meaning 6 more weeks of winter.

Tom Brady wins the Super Bowl, meaning 12 more months of every sportscaster in existence slobbering all over him and praising his holy name every 6 minutes.

The distinct possibility of this happening is precisely why the TV stayed off and the CD player was in full operation last night. The thought of TB12 and his com"Patriot" Gronk hoisting another trophy was not something I wished to witness. I don't feel quite as bad now about the Bills falling in the AFC Championship game. If they had made it to, and lost, the Super Bowl to those two my screams of rage would've leveled half of New York State.

Oh well, up to 2 weeks ago, this season was a whole lot of fun, more than it has been in a LONG time.

And, barring any COVID-related delays, the first Spring Training game is less than 3 weeks away, so there's that.

USA Today:

Tom Brady makes first visit to White House to celebrate Super Bowl win since 2005

I'm pretty some other players were there, too.
