New defense secretary orders a military wide stand-down to address the challenge of extremism.
So are we going to shoot the the "Badthinkers" in the back of the neck yet, or is that a couple of months down the road?
Worked well for the Soviets in 1937.
Meanwhile, gales of laughter are heard in Russia and China.

If you don't see the potential problems arising from large numbers in the military of these white nationalists, conspiracy theorists, and the other assorted dangerous wacko types who stormed the Capitol, then you've been spending too much time obsessing about the secret laboratory in China.

If you don't see the problem with this, you are part of the problem, as I've long known. Blind and apathetic where there is some vision.

I read your link. Didn't see anything that suggested neck-shooting. Sounds more like a little sensitivity training to me. But I guess maybe you know more about the senses of humor of people in China and Russia than I do. Who knows. Maybe they're as weird as you.

Seems like you took a pretty big leap in logic there. But, to clarify, are you saying you are against the following?
The DOD Instruction expressly prohibits military personnel from actively advocating for and participating in supremacist, extremist or criminal gang doctrine, ideology or causes, Kirby said.

It is the definition and classification of what supremacist and/or extremist ideology is. Lately the definition has expanded to include having supported a duly elected president. So yes, this is concerning.

Not all the people who supported Trump are white supremacists and extremists. But a number of them are and, what is worse, many of the rest just make excuses or deny everything.

Are you saying that you think that Trump was duly elected in this recent election?

If I was saying that you'd know. I'd be clear.

But Biden and Hillary and Obama and AOC and Nancy Pelosi didn't foment those followers into a mob that stormed the Capitol. And none of these individuasl or anyone else on the left has excused or condoned the types of activity that went on there. Biden repeatedly condemned the violence at the BLM protests last summer. In fact, when Rashida Tlaib made comments that could be taken as anti-Semitic, the other Democrats in positions of power were quick to criticize her for those. False equivalence is a game that Republicans like to play because they think it excuses their inexcusable behavior because a few nitwits burned a car last summer. In the meantime, we've had an armed mob storm the US Capitol and kill several people, including a policeman. We've had armed extremists arrested for plotting to kidnap the governor of Michigan and put her on trial.
And if you want to see an example of what happens when the military gets radicalized by extremists, take a look at what happened in Myannmar this week.

I'll wait for BJs Whataboutism comment.
And like you said "the rest just make excuses".
And I don't agree that Biden repeatedly condemned the violence. But you'll have to agree Harris supported it, even financially.

Right.
What’s a cubit?
Re: So, Are We Going to Shoot the "Badthinkers" Yet?
It might help if your sources didn't cut and paste and selectively edit publicly available interviews with Harris to "prove" their point.
O.K. That's once, on Aug. 10th. Over 2 months since the rioting started. You said repeatedly. Did he denounce the violence as many times as Trump denounced white supremacy?
Harris was the biggest fundraiser for the bail fund. Those needed bail were NOT the peaceful protesters. They were all arrested and had bail set because of crimes they committed.
Not getting the reference, even after reading through all the "cubit" threads. I know what a cubit is, what I don't know is why you posted the question.
I do know why you posted the "pink or brown?" question to a female bored member years ago.

What’s a cubit? comes from a Bill Cosby standup skit from the 60s:
God: (standing on a chair behind Noah, he rings a bell once. NOAH.
Noah: (Looks up) Is someone calling me? (Shrugs and goes back to his work)
God: (Ding) NOAH!!
Noah: Who is that?
God: It's the Lord, Noah.
Noah: Right ... Where are ya? What do ya want? I've been good.
God: I want you to build an ark.
Noah: Right ... What's an ark?
God: Get some wood and build it 300 cubits by 80 cubits by 40 cubits.
Noah: Right ... What's a cubit?
God: Well never mind. Don't worry about that right now. After you build the ark, I want you to go out into the world and collect all the animals of the world, two by two, male and female, and put them into the ark.
Noah: Right ... Who is this really? What's going on? How come you want me to do all these weird things?
God: I'm going to destroy the world.
Noah: Right ... Am I on Candid Camera? How are you gonna do it?
God: I'm going to make it rain for a thousand days and drown them right out.
Noah: Right ... Listen, do this and you'll save water. Let it rain for forty days and forty nights and wait for the sewers to back up.
God: Right...
Re: So, Are We Going to Shoot the "Badthinkers" Yet?
Harris was the biggest fundraiser for the bail fund. Those needed bail were NOT the peaceful protesters. They were all arrested and had bail set because of crimes they committed.
I had to research this because I was unfamiliar with this organization. The Minnesota Freedom fund was designed to provide bail for anyone who couldn't afford cash bail, which invariably affects people with little money far more than those with money. In the wake of the George Floyd protests, they raised a lot more money because they suddenly had a lot more business.
The purpose of the bail fund is to put lower class defendants on an equal footing with well-off defendants. It's not to condone or approve of the crimes they were accused of. And let's not forget the principle of the presumption of innocence. Unlike the Capitol protestors who conveniently (for police) posed for lots and lots of pictures while breaking the law, some of these people arrested may well have been guilty of nothing more than being around a riot while black. Well-to-do people who are accused of far worse crimes bail themselves out of jail all the time without anyone blinking an eye. Or they get sympathetic right-wingers to raise their bail money like Kyle Rittenhouse did. If the courts felt that these defendants represented an exceptional flight risk or danger to the community, they could have refused bail.
As for your claim that Biden only condemned the violence one time:
On May 29, he told CNN that people “have a right to be, in fact, angry and frustrated. And more violence, hurting more people, isn’t going to answer the question."
On May 31, he wrote in a statement on Medium that protesting police brutality is “right and necessary” and “an utterly American response. But burning down communities and needless destruction is not,” Biden wrote. “Violence that endangers lives is not. Violence that guts and shutters businesses that serve the community is not.”
On June 2, in a speech in Philadelphia, recorded by ABC News, Biden said there is "no place for violence, no place for looting or destroying property or burning churches or destroying businesses. We need to distinguish between legitimate peaceful protest and opportunistic violent destruction," he said.
On July 28, in a speech in Wilmington, Delaware, he echoed that sentiment, per C-SPAN. “Peaceful protesters should be protected – but arsonists and anarchists should be prosecuted – and local law enforcement can do that," he said.
On Aug. 31, after a man was fatally shot in Portland, Oregon, Biden released a statement on his campaign website with another condemnation of protest-related violence: "The deadly violence we saw overnight in Portland is unacceptable," he said. "Shooting in the streets of a great American city is unacceptable. I condemn this violence unequivocally. I condemn violence of every kind by anyone, whether on the left or the right. And I challenge Donald Trump to do the same."

Narrator: So Noah began to build the ark. Of course, his neighbors were not too happy about it. Can you imagine leaving for the office at 7 AM and seeing an ark?
Neighbor: (enters whistling, with briefcase) Hey! You over there.
Noah: What do you want?
Neighbor: What is this thing?
Noah: It's an ark.
Neighbor: Uh-huh, well, you want to get it out of my driveway? I've gotta get to work. Hey listen, what's this thing for anyway?
Noah: I can't tell you, ha ha ha.
Neighbor: Can't you even give me a little hint?
Noah: You want a hint?
Neighbor: Yes, please.
Noah: Well, how long can you tread water? Ha ha ha.
Neighbor: There's one in every neighborhood. (Shakes head and leaves)
Narrator: Well, Noah finally got the ark built. Then he had the task of gathering all the animals two by two.
Noah: Hey, anybody know how to tell the difference between a male and a female mosquito? (Looking in a box) I told your rabbits before, only two! (He puts the box in the boat) Whew, finally, the last two animals are on board. Let's get this thing closed up before God asks me to do something else. I'm six hundred years old. I am getting too old for this sort of thing.
God: Noah!
Noah: I knew it. What do you want now?
God: You're going to have to take one of those hippos off and get another one.
Noah: Why?
God: 'Cause you got two males. You need a female.
Noah: I'm too tired to bring anything else on board. You change one of them.
God: Come on, you know I don't work like that. ...
