Nobody mentioned my comment about what I'm gonna try to set out below -- (and we all know how painful that can be).

Anyway, I'm kind of curious about whether you think I'm right.

I'm hoping that you can confirm that if you want to hear a real yodel, go to Roy.

What Eddie did in "Cattle Call" was wonderful, sure enough. It was a very nice, piercing, falsetto call.

Still, though.

The "Ooooooh-doooooooo" of the chorus may be falsetto, as you say, but when he reaches "Oh-de-lo-de-lay-lee," that's clearly yodeling by all standards.

Other singers may yodel longer or better or more consistently, but Eddie yodels. Yup.

Yep. You're right. I was objecting to how the refrain was described. I'd forgotten about the real yodeling.
